Dr Clodagh Murphy

 Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Clodagh Murphy trained in child and neurodevelopment psychiatry at The Maudsley Hospital.   She is a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Autism Assessment and Behavioural Genetics Clinic and Adult ADHD Clinic. Dr Murphy is the Clinical Lead for the Autism Assessment and Behavioural Genetics Clinic.

Other roles

Dr Murphy is an honorary Consultant Psychiatrist at Great Ormond Street Hospital, in the 22q Deletion Syndrome Clinic and the Tourette’s Clinic.  She is a member of the UK Adult ADHD Network (UKAAN) Training Committee  and a member of the International 22q11.2DS Brain and Behaviour Consortium.

Background

Dr Murphy holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from University College London. She was awarded a post-graduate scholarship to the University of California, studied at The Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, USA) and read medicine at Dundee University.  She trained in psychiatry on The Maudsley Hospital Training Scheme.

Research

Research interests include the neurobiology of neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD and 22q, brain development and ageing, and transition to adult healthcare.
